Ms. Causey was born and raised in Natchitoches, Louisiana. After working for a well-known insurance defense firm in Houston, Texas, Ms. Causey pursued her Masters of Law from the nationally-ranked Health Law program at the University of Houston Law Center. Upon graduation, Ms. Causey joined Pate & Spivey, where her practice focuses on health law, commercial and personal injury litigation, and insurance coverage matters. Ms. Causey also handles medical and pharmaceutical malpractice claims, claims regarding coverage and payment / reimbursement by third-party payers, employee benefits / ERISA claims, and also advises clients on health-care transactions.
